Role of the IT Project Manager Assistant Vice President

The IT Project Manager Assistant Vice President assumes full leadership and supervisory responsibility, providing operational and service direction to their team. This role applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to offer value-added perspectives and advisory services, potentially contributing to new techniques, models, and plans within their expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are essential.

Responsibilities include volume, quality, and timeliness of end results, with shared responsibility for planning and budgets. This position significantly impacts the IT project leadership area, influencing overall sub-function performance. Full supervisory duties involve performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and directing daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages the technical components of moderately complex IT projects.
• Coordinates project team activities, identifies necessary resources, and develops schedules to meet deadlines.
• Evaluates subordinate performance and makes decisions on personnel actions, including pay increases, promotions, and terminations.
• Ensures team adherence to control and risk implementations, as well as standards and process changes.
• Identifies the scope and impact of project risks and issues, raising and resolving them effectively.
• Applies a strong understanding of IT project leadership concepts and procedures to resolve issues.
• Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of how IT project leadership areas integrate to achieve business goals.
• Provides evaluative judgment based on factual information analysis in complex and unique situations.
• Directly impacts the IT project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery, planning, budget management, and procedure formulation, influencing resource planning.
• Persuades and influences others through effective communication and diplomacy, potentially negotiating with external parties.
• Operates with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independent judgment and autonomy.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and other team members.
• Manages teams effectively.
• Appropriately assesses risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation and assets by ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and ethical judgment, and effectively supervising team activity.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in an IT project leadership role.
• Commensurate people management experience.
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The primary full-time salary range for this role is $96,400.00 - $144,600.00. In addition to salary, Citi offers competitive benefits which may include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards, medical, dental & vision coverage, 401(k), life, accident, and disability insurance, and wellness programs. Paid time off packages include vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Available offerings may vary by jurisdiction, job level, and date of hire.
