Generative AI Platform Onboarding Lead

Role Overview

The Generative AI Platform Onboarding Lead is a senior-level position at Citi, responsible for establishing and implementing strategic initiatives on the GenAI book of Work for Services, and programs in coordination with the Product team. The primary objective of this role is to lead programming activities, and to build and guide high-performing Engineering teams focused on Generative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end platforms that integrate with GenAI technologies, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Streamline the onboarding and configuration process for applications integrating onto the newly developed Intelligent Document Processing platform.
• Increase the accuracy of the platform for all onboarding workflows, demonstrating a good understanding of RAG-based implementation and commercial Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Implement best DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Allocate work, and act as an advisor and coach for developers, analysts, and new team members.
• Manage Book of Work deliverables and ensure that project goals are met.
• Proactively manage risks to goals with timely mitigation strategies.
• Manage changes in priorities, quickly pivoting the team to deliver on new objectives.
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate effectively with external parties.
• Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating/managing/reporting control issues transparently.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience in systems architecture with a focus on Data processing, AI/ML, and DevOps.
• Proven experience with improving LLM performance through techniques such as few-shot examples, prompt chaining, and prompt tuning.
• Demonstrated experience in raising and ensuring expected accuracy standards with LLMs are met.
• Ability to work with the MRM team to ensure all metrics for LLM use cases are accurately captured and meet set standards.
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., Langchain) and extensive experience with GenAI technologies.
• Experience in building applications that apply large language models and GenAI to search, chat agents, and guided analytics.
• Strong, working knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Solid understanding of software development practices, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Experience with various data storage solutions (e.g., NoSQL, SQL, data lakes) and pipeline orchestration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Proven experience leading teams of developers and ensuring adherence to development standards.
• Demonstrated problem-solving experience in areas of performance improvement and/or data analysis for inconsistencies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
