Overview
The Director, Segment Financial Controller at Citi is a leadership role within the Enterprise Financial Control group. Reporting directly to the Enterprise Financial Controller, this role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the segment's books and records, general ledger, and operating systems. The role includes oversight of balance sheet and income statement integrity and collaborating with various controller teams for adjustments and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate, timely recording of financial transactions.
- Oversee accounting treatment, adjustments, and reconciliation of financial results.
- Manage sub-weekly reconciliation of reporting models to the statement of record.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive strategic improvements in reconciliation and reporting processes.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and technologies.
Qualifications
Candidates need 10+ years of relevant experience, advanced accounting knowledge including expertise with banking products, and strong leadership and management skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s/CFA/CPA is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary ranges from $170,000 to $300,000 annually, plus discretionary and formulaic incentives, employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, wellness programs, and paid time off.
