Overview

The Director Asset Class Controller at Citi within Enterprise Financial Control is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the Firm’s books and records. This role leads a team of subject matter experts focused on maintaining best-in-class controls over various asset classes such as Wholesale Loans, Wholesale Deposits, Trading Assets/Liabilities and Investments (AFS/HTM).

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation activities.
• Manage data transfers and sub-weekly reconciliations from Risk systems.
• Understand data aggregation and logic for asset classes.
• Drive strategic improvements in reporting processes.
• Serve as primary contact for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee accounting treatment and legal netting engine operations.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience with team management, advanced accounting knowledge, and strong leadership skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required, while a Master’s degree, CFA, or CPA is preferred.
