Business Planning & Analysis Analyst - APAC Shift

Job Summary

The Business Planning & Analysis Analyst - APAC Shift is a developing professional responsible for monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating processes and data within their specialty area. This role involves identifying policy gaps, formulating policies, interpreting data to make recommendations, and researching factual information. The analyst will identify inconsistencies, define business issues, and propose solutions for policies, procedures, or practices. You will integrate disciplinary knowledge with an understanding of related industry practices, contributing directly to team objectives and operating with limited but direct business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design and analyze standard to moderately complex reports, including data content, format, source data, and production processes.
• Write specifications for new report programs, spreadsheets, and other reporting tools.
• Identify reporting gaps and make informed judgments and recommendations based on analysis and specialized knowledge.
• Analyze comparative data from reports and interpret the results to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve area objectives.
• Continuously monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate various processes and data streams.
• Based on analysis, recommend process improvements and operational efficiency increases that have a direct business impact.
• Integrate established disciplinary knowledge within your specialty area with a foundational understanding of industry practices.
• Utilize strong communication skills to articulate and exchange information clearly and logically, being sensitive to diverse audiences.
• Appropriately assess and mitigate risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, adhering to policies, applying sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalating control issues.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in business planning, analysis, or a similar field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated background in SQL and experience using business intelligence (BI) platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Coding experience is considered a significant advantage.
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain analytical models using Python, SQL, and statistical techniques.
• Experience building predictive and descriptive analytics models for forecasting, optimization, and performance measurement.
• Capability to design, automate, and optimize data pipelines and reporting workflows, ensuring data accuracy and availability.
• Proficiency in creating dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
• Skills in validating data quality, performing statistical testing, and ensuring reproducibility of analytical results.
• Support for experimentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis initiatives.
