Banking Analyst Internship at Citi
Citi is seeking enthusiastic Intern Analysts to join their Corporate Banking team in Paris, France, starting in July 2026. This 6-month internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the finance industry, developing skills in credit analysis, client relationship management, and financial market understanding.
About the Role
As a Corporate Banking Intern Analyst, you will immerse yourself in the world of finance, working closely with experienced professionals. You will be responsible for tasks such as conducting credit analysis, preparing essential documentation for approvals, monitoring the bank's exposure and profitability, and assisting in client relationship development and business origination. This role provides exposure to various Citi products and services, including Investment Banking, Capital Markets Origination, and Treasury and Trade Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Analysis: Perform financial and operational analysis of clients, including historical and projected performance.
- Preparation of Materials: Create credit memos and other documentation for Risk and Business approval committees for various transactions.
- Bank's Credit Exposure and Capital Management: Monitor bank's exposure and profitability with clients using Citi's systems and produce concise analysis.
- Client Relationship Development and Business Origination: Research and present potential relationship development opportunities across numerous Citi products.
- Support Bankers: Assist on ad hoc pitches, such as acquisition financing and capital market transactions.
- Geographical Network Support: Develop banking relationships across Citi's global network.
Internship Program Details:
- Duration: 6 months
- Start Date: July 2026
- Placement: Work with a dedicated Corporate Banking team.
- Career Growth: Top-performing interns may receive an offer to return as a full-time Analyst after graduation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Currently enrolled in a University program that can provide an internship agreement.
- Possess student status and a relevant visa covering the entire internship period.
- Available to start in July 2026.
- Strong knowledge of Corporate Finance and Financial Markets.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- A good level of French is recommended; additional languages are a plus.
