Systematic Trader

Role Summary

As a Systematic Trader, you’ll join our global team of experts that manage the day-to-day trading of our quantitative systematic strategies; making real-time decisions to manage risk, responding to changing market conditions, and taking action on strategy alerts. You will partner with the firm’s researchers, developers, and technical support teams to evolve our trading platform and drive business growth. Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of market microstructure, products, regulations, and our trading platform to facilitate business growth and the safe trading of our systematic strategies
• Respond to operational events partnering with developers, researchers, and technology teams
• Expand the capabilities of the trading platform (new regions/venues/products, defining new technology requirements and deployment of new strategies developed by research teams)
• Monitor markets and strategy performance metrics, identifying trends which inform actions
• Own risk management protections and determine appropriate risk levels for business
• Understand and navigate macro event risks by constructing and executing trading playbooks
• Authority over trading activities through delegated trading supervision responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Finance, Economics or Business program from top institution
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic decision-making ability; able to keep the big picture in mind, making informed and defensible decisions in a fast-paced trading environment
• Interest and knowledge of financial markets, current events, and technology
• Detail oriented and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated self-starter, with the drive and can-do attitude to learn new things and push through change to deliver results
• Skill assets: experience with Linux, proficiency in Python

Compensation

In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $300,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
