We are specifically looking for applicants based in Poland who will return to full-time study upon completion of this summer internship.

Your Impact as a Splunk Frontend Software Engineer Intern

As a Splunk Frontend Software Engineer Intern, you will immerse yourself in Splunk's culture while refining the specialized skills of our development teams. You will collaborate with smart, dedicated individuals on state-of-the-art development work across machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, infrastructure, and event correlations to build best-in-class business analytics software.

• Design, develop, code, and test software systems or applications within the scope of a contained, end-to-end project.
• Contribute through active participation in agile development processes, including project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing system support.
• Work under the close supervision of a dedicated mentor, with weekly check-ins to guide your progress and learning.

Minimum Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, with a strong record of academic achievement.
• At least one semester/quarter of academic study remaining to complete after the internship concludes.
• Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (July-September).
• Demonstrated experience in QA, testing, and/or debugging.
• Local to the Krakow Splunk office and available to come into the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Poland.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interest in frontend, UI, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development.
• Familiarity with frontend JavaScript technologies, including React/Redux (Typescript, jQuery, Backbone are a plus).
• Coursework and project experience related to Machine Learning and AI concepts.
• Exposure to styling web applications using CSS.
• Exposure to working with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
