About the Role: Software Engineering Technical Leader, AI
The Cisco Cloud Control group is actively seeking a Software Engineering Technical Leader to significantly influence the user experience of Cisco Cloud Control. This pivotal role is within the Cisco AI Software & Platform Group, a team dedicated to incubating and delivering Generative AI-based solutions that reinvent Cisco's existing product interactions and introduce new, responsible, and scalable Generative AI offerings. These solutions are built on internal platforms, unlocking benefits for Cisco teams and partners across Security, Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, and Splunk portfolios.
As a Software Engineering Technical Leader, AI in Cisco Cloud Control, you will be instrumental in constructing the next-generation platform, unifying Cisco’s diverse product portfolio under an AI-native umbrella. You will lead a growing engineering team based in our dedicated TLV WeWork office, fostering collaboration with global Cisco groups on innovative cross-product AI solutions. This role demands ownership of the design and implementation of critical functional and non-functional UI features, ensuring engineering excellence and mentorship for a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of both functional and non-functional UI features for the next-gen platform.
- Partner with your team to meticulously plan epics, deliverables, and sprints, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Collaborate closely with organizational architects to drive significant functional and non-functional product enhancements.
- Engage with other Cisco groups to deliver seamless AI-native, cross-product integrations.
- Actively contribute to the codebase, conduct thorough PR reviews, and uphold the highest standards of engineering excellence.
- Mentor and guide a high-performing team, fostering growth while navigating the complexities of a large enterprise with an agile, startup-like mindset.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of demonstrated Technical Leadership experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on coding proficiency in languages such as Go, Java, or Node.
- Proven expertise with CI/CD practices and modern software development methodologies.
- Experience utilizing modern AI tools and methodologies in practical applications.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience managing geographically distributed full-stack teams, ensuring cohesion and productivity.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional engagement skills.
- Possession of a 'can-do' attitude, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic corporate environment.
- Comprehensive Full-Stack Software development experience.
