The team is building Cisco’s AI-driven platforms and data infrastructure, supporting innovation in Security and Infrastructure & Security across compute, cloud, and security teams.
Your Impact
As a Software Engineer Security & Automation I Intern, you will help develop scalable, secure data pipelines, design robust analytics platforms, and build automation infrastructure to support Cisco’s security and cloud initiatives. Your work will contribute to building essential security tools and automation platforms using Python and scripting, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or certification program.
- Experience in writing, debugging, and maintaining Python or scripting languages (e.g., Bash) for automation.
- Understanding of security protocols (TLS/SSL, SSH, OAuth, SAML, IPsec) and cybersecurity tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts and basic implementations.
- Experience in securing cloud environments and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automated testing for Python applications using pytest.
