About the Role
The Quality Technical Leader at Cisco is part of the Supply Chain Operations team, responsible for managing and enhancing the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) for core hardware products. The role focuses on quality metrics, root cause investigations, and data analysis to drive continuous improvements.
Your Impact
You will establish new processes for handling quality expectations for hyperscale customers in both New Product Introduction and field-sustaining activities. As a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will translate ambiguous problems into actionable plans and integrate point solutions into a scalable strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on hardware quality metrics including NPI, factory quality, and field quality.
- Develop and refine factory yield performance metrics consistent with Six Sigma quality goals.
- Perform actionable data analysis to detect trends, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Capture quality requirements for Cisco products, offering recommendations to enhance quality and governance.
- Communicate proposals, strategies, and progress updates to Cisco executives.
- Document business requirements and deliver meaningful KPIs for business users.
- Coordinate research and technical recommendations addressing customer quality and reliability concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in hardware quality management for networking routers/switches.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
- Experience with root cause investigation, data analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex datasets.
- Proficiency in evaluating tools for scalable decision automation.
