This Quality Assurance Developer I Co-op role may be eligible for remote work within Canada, subject to business needs and hiring manager approval.
Meet the Team
You will join the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team, part of our Accedian group. The Accedian team is dedicated to developing cutting-edge network monitoring solutions, leveraging award-winning hardware, FPGA, and software technologies deployed across carrier networks and enterprise premises.
Your Impact
As a Quality Assurance Developer I Co-op on the SQA team, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the quality of Accedian products prior to customer delivery. You will collaborate closely with Hardware, FPGA, and Software developers, as well as senior SQA specialists, to rigorously test new prototypes and enhance existing test coverage. Your contributions will directly boost product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a certification program (e.g., Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College) or an undergraduate degree program. Relevant fields include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related academic certification.
- Proficiency in Python, evidenced by recent (within the past 12 months) coursework, projects, or work experience.
- Strong understanding of Linux and fundamental networking concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment, contributing to collective problem-solving and project success.
- Legally able to live and work in Canada without visa support or sponsorship, and possess an authorized co-op arrangement with your educational institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with network protocol analyzers such as Wireshark or tcpdump, proven through coursework or practical use.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English (written and verbal).
