About the Role

The Datastores team manages the platform’s critical datastore services including ElasticSearch, Kafka, MongoDB, and MySQL. The role focuses on ensuring availability, performance, capacity planning, monitoring, and rapid incident response. You will collaborate with application development teams to maintain reliable, scalable datastore infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with software engineers to optimize datastore availability and performance.
• Build and support critical services with a focus on automation and resilience.
• Design and maintain elastic, multi-region datastore systems.
• Drive automation to enable effortless datastore scaling.
• Participate in 24/7 incident response and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing scalable datastore solutions.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for high-quality code.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud services.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems and client-server protocols.
• Experience with databases like MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Apache Druid.
