Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for our cross-functional development teams and the development roadmap. Your tasks include:
- Translating quarterly goals into a feasible release calendar.
- Ensuring well-prepared releases and thorough post-release evaluations.
- Setting clear goals, realistic planning, and transparent progress reporting using metrics like throughput, cycle time, lead time, and plan reliability.
- Prioritizing value, validating hypotheses with stakeholders, and maintaining scope and benefits alignment with business goals.
- Applying modern engineering practices including code reviews, test automation, and CI/CD.
- Coaching engineering leads and developers to build a safe, skilled culture.
- Collaborating with the Product Owner to realize robust API integrations among ERP/Odoo, e-commerce, logistics, finance, and asset-data systems.
- Managing (near-)shore teams and technology partners by setting clear agreements and monitoring shared milestones.
- Making informed portfolio decisions about build, buy, or integrate approaches.
- Facilitating clear decision-making with MT, Product, and Operations, and communicating risks and impact timely.
- Upholding the ISO-27001 approach in a practical, efficient way that supports development speed.
Who You Are
You are an experienced engineering manager, lead developer, or team lead in a product or platform environment. You are familiar with predictable delivery from roadmap to release using metrics such as velocity and defect escape rate. You are strong in Agile and Lean methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), planning, and dependency management with a data-driven improvement mindset. You are comfortable bridging business, product, and technology, and making clear decisions. Your technical background includes modern cloud and platform environments, API integrations (API-first, REST/GraphQL, webhooks, messaging), and CI/CD. You have working experience with PHP/Laravel and/or Python (Odoo-framework) and SQL, and you bring leadership in vendor and partner management with make-or-buy decisions. Fluency in Dutch and English with a strong focus on business value is essential, along with any experience in e-commerce, supply chain, device lifecycle, QA/observability, security, privacy-by-design, and ISO-27001.
