Job Responsibilities
The Sr. Research Safety Specialist will identify, recommend, and help implement corrective and preventative action plans for research lab safety initiatives. They will develop and prepare reports summarizing trends, safety concerns, and historical data, while analyzing incident reports and audits related to research lab health and safety.
Key duties include:
- Conducting investigations on research lab incidents and safety concerns.
- Providing education and training to support lab safety initiatives.
- Supporting occupational, environmental, employee and patient health and safety programs.
- Responding to identified concerns and reports.
Job Qualifications
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 2 years of work experience in a similar discipline. Preferred qualifications include 3-5 years of experience, research lab and chemical background, and exposure to occupational safety and environmental health.
