In Romania, we welcome top-tier tech talent, whether from our Bucharest office or fully remotely. Tap into deep industry knowledge, grow your career, and make an impact in an empowering environment.

We are looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join our team full-time in Romania.

About the Role

As a Front End Software Engineer, you will become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on a project for a global leader in the leisure, travel, and tourism industries, offering a high-quality end-to-end customer experience, from booking to accommodation and transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute ideas through your knowledge of evolving front-end technologies.
  • Be proactive in communication with team members and clients.
  • Use industry best practices of development processes & tools, adopting and improving them.
  • Deliver: Create and maintain modern interfaces according to unit standards.
  • Code Quality: Follow and improve code quality standards.
  • Analyze and Estimate: Perform technical assessment of UI mockups/wireframes to ensure their implementation within a reasonable timeframe.

Requirements

We know that sometimes, you can’t tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think you’re a good fit!

  • Proficient in semantic HTML5, CSS3 / SASS(SCSS), and JavaScript (modern ES6+).
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and the frontend ecosystem/tooling (package management, module bundling).
  • Practical, hands-on experience with React (including state management and advanced patterns used in production).
  • Experience with at least one additional modern JavaScript framework (beyond React) or clear ability to ramp up quickly.
  • Ability to interpret UI designs, discuss implementation trade-offs with product/design, and translate designs into high-quality UI.
  • Working knowledge of UI/UX principles (e.g., Information Architecture) and building an engaging user experience.
  • Accessibility responsibility: awareness and practical application of WCAG and accessibility best practices in everyday development.
  • Experience consuming and integrating with resource-oriented APIs (REST, GraphQL).
  • Understanding of front-end delivery/performance aspects (HTTP fundamentals, performance analysis and optimization).
  • Design patterns, OOP, and development principles applied in day-to-day engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with testing approaches and tools, including API contract testing.
  • Strong experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) effectively and responsibly.
  • DevSecOps mindset: able to contribute across the SDLC — design, build, test, deploy — with attention to security and quality.
  • Experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitLab CI, TravisCI), and collaboration with DevOps to set up/maintain custom pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability practices and tools (e.g., Datadog) and using telemetry to troubleshoot and improve systems.
  • Cloud-native fundamentals on AWS as a core competency for Middle roles (comfortable building/deploying apps in AWS-based environments; IaC familiarity is a plus).
  • Intermediate English.
  • Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban); familiarity with tools like JIRA/Confluence.

Desirable Skills

  • Node.js + Express experience (for BFFs, SSR, tooling, or integration needs).
  • Quality tools such as Sonar/SonarQube and basic code quality metrics (e.g., complexity).
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK) or strong exposure to IaC concepts.
  • Understanding of the social and ethical implications of software engineering.

Personal Skills

  • Customer/business mindset: solves business problems, not only technical tasks.
  • Customer-centric approach to outcomes.
  • Collaboration, personal accountability, and ownership: takes responsibility for deliverables, communicates clearly, and works effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, open-minded and continuous learner; comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously within agreed scope.
  • Has working-level contact with customers and colleagues.
  • May supervise others or make decisions which impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projects.
  • Performs a range of work, sometimes complex and non-routine.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills.
  • Plans, schedules and monitors own work (and that of others where applicable) competently.
  • Contributes fully to the work of teams.

  • Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door environment.
  • Growth focus: Take on large-scale projects with a global impact and expand your expertise.

  • Endless opportunities: Explore diverse domains through internal mobility, finding the best fit to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.
