Software Engineering Associate Advisor - Evernorth

As a Backend Engineer, you will join a team transforming healthcare and improving the lives and vitality of millions of members. You will support backend application development, system integration, and implementing AI capabilities in our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Typescript.
  • Implement advanced programming concepts such as asynchronous programming and decorators.
  • Assist in system integration tasks across cloud and on-premises platforms.
  • Ensure reliability with transaction management, failure handling, and retries.
  • Manage cloud-based services with preference for AWS experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • 8 to 11 years of backend software development experience.
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Authorization/Security.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Typescript and building RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational (MySQL/Postgres) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDb, MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Familiarity with caching (Redis, Memcached), CI/CD, and code quality tools like SonarQube.
  • Understanding of microservices, API design patterns and distributed systems.
  • Experience in monitoring/alerting tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, NewRelic.

Education and Training

Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
