Role Overview
Join Ciena as a Quality Program Manager to drive strategic quality initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and deliver measurable improvements in product performance and customer satisfaction.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead and manage cross-functional quality programs from inception to completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, deliverables, and risk strategies.
- Drive initiatives for product quality improvement and operational efficiency.
- Analyze complex data using Power BI, Excel, and other analytics tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve quality concerns.
- Optimize quality assurance processes and implement best practices.
- Serve as an escalation point for risk management and project challenges.
The Must Haves
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in program/project management, quality assurance, or business operations.
- Strong statistical analysis skills and data interpretation capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SQL, Salesforce, JIRA is a plus.
- B.S. degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and standards.
- Background in customer communications, software application testing, or quality assurance processes.
- Strong strategic thinking and passion for quality-driven initiatives.
- Collaborative team player comfortable in cross-functional and virtual environments.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to balance competing priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay for Ottawa location ranges from $79,000 to $126,200 annually, with competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, stock purchase program, and more.
