What You'll Be Doing
The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of complex, tactical projects. You will manage project control procedures, ensure adherence to CIBC's technology project performance standards, and lead a team using best practices in project planning, reporting, and support activities.
- Manage project goals, scope, budgeting, and timelines.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology partners.
- Monitor and mitigate risks to maintain schedule and budget.
- Provide regular status reports and progress updates.
- Lead teams through project planning and execution with minimal direction.
How You'll Succeed
Success in this role is driven by effective project management, proactive risk management, strategic collaboration, clear communication, and inspirational leadership. You will utilize methodologies such as waterfall and agile, and work with tools like Microsoft Project, Planview, ServiceNow, Eclipse, and JIRA.
Who You Are
You are an experienced project manager with at least two years in the field, preferably in financial services or technology. You have managed cross-portfolio projects within matrix environments, are knowledgeable of the SDLC, and familiar with project management and issue tracking tools. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field is expected, and PMP designation is an asset.
