Job Summary

The Senior Accountant, IT Finance at CHS is responsible for performing a variety of accounting activities including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis and financial reporting. This role supports audits, financial decision-making, and ensures accurate records while working remotely.

Essential Functions

• Perform and review monthly close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and performance trends.
• Reconcile complex accounts including intercompany transactions and fixed assets.
• Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance efforts.
• Assist in financial planning, forecasting and cash flow analysis.
• Provide technical accounting support and ensure GAAP, SOX compliance.
• Prepare regulatory reports including SEC filings as required.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax authorities and financial analysts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all policies.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Excel, MBA and CPA or CMA certifications.
