About the Role

The Chief of Staff - Client Operations, also known as Operations Program Manager or Client Operations Manager, runs back-office operations (HR, Finance, Compliance) for multiple startups. You will own delivery, triage edge cases, and build scalable processes to support our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-workstream back-office programs for startups including HR, Finance, and Compliance.
  • Serve as the main conduit and trusted project manager for client operations.
  • Handle both tactical tasks and strategic partnership with startup founders and CEOs.
  • Coordinate tasks across various domains like tax, legal, vendor management, and employee processes.
  • Manage complex edge cases and improve processes continuously.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of startup business experience with client interfacing.
  • 2+ years experience in at least two areas: Project Management, Product Management, Customer Success, Client Operations, HR, Finance, Legal or Compliance.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and capable of context switching efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to document every process step.
  • Comfortable with saying 'no' diplomatically and building trusted relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for improving processes and standardization.
