About the Learning & Development Team
The L&D team equips employees with the necessary skills and resources to succeed, ensuring every team member receives the training and support needed to excel and serve clients effectively.
Position Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining and coordinating training programs, resources and schedules. The role includes evaluating learner progress, coaching (including phone etiquette) and supporting new training initiatives with a focus on consistency and high-quality training experiences.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update existing training programs in collaboration with department leads
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions ensuring trainers and trainees are prepared
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback as needed
- Deliver training on phone etiquette and model strong phone skills
- Organize training resources, documentation, and materials
- Assist in onboarding new hires for a smooth transition
- Support rollout of new training projects and initiatives
- Manage LMS enrollments and generate training reports
- Participate in continuous learning of L&D best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Classroom teaching or facilitation experience
- Experience in legal, professional services, or training environments
- Proficiency in phone-based communication and coaching
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn new software
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement
Compensation & Benefits
- Salaried (exempt) position with compensation between $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience

Additional Details
Preference for internal candidates and those local to Providence, RI though remote candidates from selected states will be considered. Normal business hours are Monday-Friday 8-5:30pm Eastern Time; later interview stages include an internet speed test and reference check.
