Job Description

Computer Science Faculty at NYU Shanghai

NYU Shanghai is actively seeking outstanding candidates for Tenured or Tenure-Track positions in Computer Science. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a globally recognized institution, engaging in both cutting-edge research and impactful teaching within a vibrant international academic environment.

Qualifications

We encourage applications from outstanding candidates at all levels who have completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline. While the search is broad, we have particular interest in candidates specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Operating and Distributed Systems, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and Deep Learning.

Terms of Employment

Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are highly competitive, comparable to those offered at NYU New York and other leading U.S. institutions. This includes generous research start-up funds, competitive compensation, housing subsidies, and educational subsidies for children. Faculty members may also have unique opportunities to spend time at NYU New York and other sites within the extensive NYU Global Network, fostering collaborative research and teaching experiences.

Application Instructions

Interested applicants should submit a comprehensive cover letter, a detailed curriculum vitae, a compelling statement of research interests, and a clear statement of teaching interests. Additionally, candidates will be prompted to provide the names and email addresses of at least three professional referees. These referees will be contacted directly to upload their letters of recommendation through Interfolio. Review of applications commenced on January 1, 2022, and will continue until the position is successfully filled. For any inquiries, please contact the NYU Shanghai NY Office of Faculty Recruitment at shanghai.faculty.recruitment@nyu.edu.
