Accounting Assistant - ChildFund Philippines Foundation, Inc.
ChildFund is seeking an Accounting Assistant for its Philippines office in Pasig City, Manila. This is a full-time, grant-funded position for 12 months, subject to the award of the grant.

About This Role
The Accounting Assistant will provide essential accounting and financial management support to the host Country Partner. This role ensures compliance with ChildFund policies, US GAAP, and local GAAP/IFRS standards. Key responsibilities include meeting statutory and tax requirements and facilitating audit processes.
Required Experience and Education
- Accounting or Business Management graduates preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, Oracle).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros); knowledge of Google Sheets.
- Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and familiarity with GAAP/IFRS.
- Ability to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a multicultural environment.
Primary Responsibilities
General Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Ensure all financial transactions have appropriate supporting documentation per ChildFund policies, donor terms, and internal controls.
- Accurately record all financial transactions, including fund transfers, check vouchers, and journal vouchers.
- Review supporting documents and process payment requests through the Accounts Payable module.
- Timely prepare fund transfers and disburse payments to suppliers, partners, employees, and third parties, including tax and social security offices.
- Ensure correct coding and entry of project expenses.
Financial Statutory Requirements
- Ensure accounting transactions comply with ChildFund accounting policies, US GAAP, and local GAAP/IFRS.
- Recognize and timely pay required withholding taxes.
- Coordinate and support the Country Partner for external and internal audits and implement corrective actions.
Child Safeguarding
Remain alert to child safeguarding risks, promote strong safeguarding practices, understand policies and procedures, and adhere to the Safeguarding Policy.
Others
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
