Software Support and Management Specialist

Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt Location: Bonita, CA (in-office)

Purpose of Role

This role maintains company software systems, trains employees and provides technical support. The specialist also researches industry trends to recommend software solutions that align with agency goals.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Maintain current inventory of agency software titles and ensure licensing compliance.
  • Evaluate, test and update software applications for optimal performance and security.
  • Prepare reports, conduct data comparisons, and perform special studies as needed.
  • Develop and revise software management procedures and collaborate with vendors.
  • Train users and serve as a backup for the IT Help Desk.

Additional Duties

Participate in both on-site and off-site workshops, conferences, meetings and trainings. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
  • Knowledge of agency goals, California Department of Education Child Care Division rules, and analytical tools such as PowerBI.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Working Environment & Physical Demands

Work is performed in an office setting with low to moderate noise levels. Physical demands include prolonged sitting, repetitive computer use and occasional heavy lifting.
