About the Role: Data Scientist

This exciting opportunity for a Data Science Analyst is based at 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines. The role involves data engineering, quantitative and statistical analysis, and insight generation to support financial and operational strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform text, quantitative, statistical, financial and operational analysis.
  • Design and implement data pipelines for automating data collection and processing.
  • Parse, cleanse and manipulate large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover actionable insights for finance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document analysis processes.
  • Continuously update skills on industry trends and emerging technologies.

About You

Applicants are expected to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field with 3+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics. Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and cloud-based ML services is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with large-scale data environments are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Strong finance background with experience in ROI assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Experience with Azure, DataRobot and finance/accounting tools such as SAP.
  • Industry experience in oil & gas is an advantage.
