Job Overview
The Fraud Data Analytics Manager at Checkout.com will build and lead a Fraud Analytics team focused on merchant fraud strategies. This role sits at the intersection of fraud expertise, data, and customer impact, working closely with Commercial, Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a Fraud Analytics team focused on merchant-specific fraud strategies.
- Hire, mentor, and develop fraud data analysts.
- Own complex fraud analyses and strategy recommendations from investigation to deployment.
- Design, test, and deploy fraud rules and data-driven strategies, leveraging machine learning models.
- Define clear success metrics and track performance consistently.
- Collaborate with Commercial teams to support merchant conversations with structured insights.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Operations to translate merchant needs into scalable fraud solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in fraud strategy and analytics delivery across the organization.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data-driven processes and Fraud/Risk domains.
- 2+ years of managing or mentoring a team of data fraud analysts.
- Excellent English communication skills with ability to explain complex topics.
- Strong people skills and genuine interest in customer-facing roles.
- Strong SQL skills and a data-driven problem solving approach.
- Understanding of Machine Learning concepts in fraud detection.
- Technical aptitude to work with an internal code-based risk engine.
- Python and BI tools experience are a plus.
