About the Senior FinOps Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation and enhancement of FinOps practices.
- Design cost allocation strategies and tagging policies.
- Develop cloud cost forecasting models and budgets.
- Identify cost optimization via detailed resource analysis.
- Create dashboards and reports for cloud spending visibility.
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams for cost control.
- Automate FinOps processes where possible.
- Stay updated with evolving cloud pricing models.
- Educate and mentor teams on FinOps principles.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
- 5+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering; 3+ years in FinOps.
- Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP pricing models.
- Experience with FinOps tools and cost allocation methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, scripting, and infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge in containerization, CI/CD, and database systems.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts.
- FinOps Foundation certification preferred.
