About the Role
We are an Azure-focused Cloud/Platform Engineering & DevOps team, also with AWS hands-on exposure, sitting at a critical junction in Check Point Software’s cloud journey. Our team owns infrastructure at scale and enables product teams to ship safely, fast, and reliably. Our environment is Kubernetes-first, built around GitOps with ArgoCD, and utilizes modern infrastructure management using Crossplane (compositions/providers) and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. We operate with strong observability standards, including metrics, dashboards, logs, and alerting/on-call, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch. If you love distributed systems, automation, platform engineering, and pushing state-of-the-art tooling into production, this is where you’ll have a real impact as a DevOps Engineer.
Key Responsibilities of a DevOps Engineer
- Planning and execution of complex, diverse, large-scale software delivery systems.
- Monitoring, examining, and remediating loose parts in all product aspects that affect overall performance.
- Researching and integrating new technologies into our stack.
- Automating everything, from enormous continuous integration, deployment, and delivery pipelines to small but life-changing utilities that will increase R&D velocity and quality.
Qualifications for this Role
- 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer.
- Experience working with live production systems (monitoring and alerting), SaaS services, and web applications.
- Experience with Azure.
- Proven experience with Linux environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies, using relevant tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub).
- Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD) and Crossplane.
- Experience with developing and troubleshooting issues in distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with AI MCP usage and implementation.
- Network Security background – Advantage.
- Independent, autodidact, excellent problem solver, and passionate about working with other engineers.
- Team player, proven experience cooperating with other engineers.
