About the role
Data Analyst
Join Check Point’s AI & Innovation group to build the analytics foundation for next-generation security products. You'll work with large-scale firewall policy and traffic data, transforming raw semi-structured data (JSON policies, traffic logs) into structured analytics that drive AI-powered security innovations. You'll design data models, define KPIs, and build reporting infrastructure from scratch. You'll collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers, directly influencing product direction through data-driven insights.
If you enjoy working hands-on with complex data and building structured analytics that drive real-world impact — we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models to structure raw security data (JSON policies, traffic logs) into analytics-ready datasets
- Analyze semi-structured datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
- Build reusable, version-controlled data transformations and pipelines
- Apply statistical methods (hypothesis testing, significance tests) to validate findings
- Define KPIs and success metrics in collaboration with product/security teams
- Build and maintain dashboards for cross-functional stakeholders
- Translate analytical insights into actionable product recommendations
- Ensure data quality, metric consistency, and reliable reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in a product or analytics environment
- Expert SQL skills and proficient Python for statistical analysis (pandas, numpy, scipy/statsmodels)
- Demonstrated ability to apply statistical methods to business problems
- Experience working with messy, semi-structured data (logs, JSON, APIs)
- Strong data modeling skills - creating reusable, scalable analytical datasets
- Experience with BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent field
Advantage
- Familiarity with firewall technologies, networking, or security policies
- Experience supporting data science or AI workflows
