As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the CCB, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces using React JS and TypeScript.
  • Create wireframes and UI mockups.
  • Collaborate with external partners, product teams, and business stakeholders to gather UI requirements.
  • Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and ensure coding best practices.
  • Implement software solutions, troubleshoot technically, and think beyond conventional approaches.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
  • Gather and analyze large data sets to improve software applications and systems.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of experience with TypeScript and React JS.
  • More than 1 year of API development using Python.
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of practical experience.
  • Experience with debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API development and related tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • Experience writing unit tests using Jest and integration tests using Cypress.
  • Exposure to AWS-based API development and services including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
  • Ability to optimize API deployments for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance.
