IT Project Manager

Overview

The IT Project Manager at Charles Russell Speechlys is a key member of the IT team reporting to the IT Technical Portfolio Project Manager. This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects across multiple disciplines including software development, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and business transformation ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and objectives.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams including IT, business analysts, developers, security, operations, and external partners.
• Manage project resources and budgets to optimize value and minimize waste.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize modern frameworks, AI-driven tools, and best practices for project success.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and compliance standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role entails adopting hybrid delivery approaches (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, DevOps or hybrid) and leveraging AI-powered project management tools, as well as integrating sustainability principles and ITIL 4 best practices. You will drive data-driven project management and stakeholder engagement while ensuring cybersecurity, compliance, and tailored delivery for the legal sector.

Core Project Management Duties

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, budgets, and resources.
• Translate business requirements into actionable deliverables.
• Identify and automate business processes.
• Serve as liaison between business and IT teams.
• Conduct risk analysis and manage potential issues.
• Oversee post-project handover and analysis.

Person Specification & Required Technical Skills

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage conflicting requirements, have a broad technical understanding, and strong process mapping skills. Prior experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid), PRINCE2 qualifications, and a strong technical background across IT infrastructures is essential. Familiarity with tools like iManage, SharePoint, Active Directory, Virtualisation, and MS Project is desirable.
