About the role

The Product Manager, Trust & Safety at Character.AI will develop and tune product experiences that are engaging yet safe. You will collaborate across trust & safety engineering, product design, and cross-functional teams to ensure characters interact with users in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on product vision and strategy for ambiguous, open-ended experiences.
  • Collaborate with users, engineering, design, community, and marketing teams.
  • Partner with data science to test, measure, tune safety classifiers, and set clear goals.
  • Drive cross-functional product deployment, release coordination, and improvements for safe experiences both internally and with 3rd party partners.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of consumer product management experience in open-ended product spaces, preferably in Trust & Safety.
  • Proven leadership with experience managing teams of Product Managers.
  • Strong track record building and launching high growth consumer B2C products from 0 to 1.
  • Ability to deliver on both short term and long term product execution.
  • Good understanding of AI industry competitors and strategies.

Nice to Have

  • Technical degree or prior software engineering experience.
  • Experience with voice, app, or interface products.
  • Experience with consumer subscription monetization.
  • Startup experience.
