Overview
The Operations Assistant at Chanel performs a variety of clerical and administrative functions to support the Operations Manager and the Heart of House team. The role focuses on maintaining high standards in boutique operations and ensuring an impeccable client experience.
Customer Experience and Relationship
Maintain strong client relationships by responding to internal and external inquiries via telephone and email. Support the boutique sales floor including welcome procedures, gift wrapping, repair intake, and presentation of new collections. Consistently deliver top-notch customer service.
Heart of House Operations
Manage inventory processes including RFID, cycle counts, and year-end inventory. Ensure inventory integrity by managing shrink, process incoming/outgoing merchandise, and maintain document retention. Oversee compliance with Customer Owned Goods, Chanel et Moi Repairs, Alterations, and Consignment processes. Reconcile daily invoices and ensure adequate boutique supplies, meanwhile maintaining a clean, organized boutique environment. Support invoice creation and spare parts orders, and partner with Boutique Management on uniform orders.
Growth Mindset
Coach and support Heart of House team members, assist the Operations Manager in achieving team objectives, actively participate in trainings and professional development, and champion change management initiatives.
Personal Presentation and Image
Adhere to Chanel's dress code, grooming, and conduct guidelines as specified in the CHANEL Charter.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in retail operations and/or stock management
- Strong shipping and receiving knowledge
- Customer experience oriented and detail focused
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift 15-20 lbs
- Fluent in English; French is a plus
