About The Role

As the Engineering Manager, Payments at Chainlink Labs, you will lead and grow a team of up to eight engineers focused on building an on-chain billing and payments protocol. You will collaborate with product, operations, finance, and more to ensure seamless scaling across multiple products and chains. Your team includes smart contract and software engineers, and you will report to the engineering lead of Economics & Ecosystems.

Your Impact

  • Support and mentor up to eight engineers.
  • Build and scale a robust payments protocol.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align on goals and deliverables.
  • Contribute technically with code reviews and occasional coding.
  • Recruit top engineering talent to elevate the team.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in leadership. Applicants should have a servant leadership mindset with the ability to work on a global distributed team. Experience in delivering impactful products and successfully aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Preferred Requirements

  • Proficiency in Solidity, TypeScript, Golang, and SQL.
  • Experience in developing smart contracts with significant on-chain value.
  • Background in building reliable, global products.
  • Active involvement in the blockchain ecosystem.

Additional Information

All roles at Chainlink Labs are global and remote-based with a requirement to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST). The recruitment process is thorough and candidates are typically contacted within two weeks after the closing date.
