This role focuses on transforming leadership's policies into actionable controls, processes, and training that are adopted organization-wide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming data subject rights requests, including access, deletion, and correction.
  • Collaborate with IT and Security to enforce data retention schedules, deletion protocols, and records management.
  • Conduct Privacy Risk Management activities, such as Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
  • Execute Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legal Impact Assessments (LIAs), and other risk assessments, maintaining associated risk registers.
  • Coordinate incident response efforts in conjunction with the Security and Legal teams.
  • Monitor key compliance metrics and generate reports for executive leadership.
  • Develop and deliver privacy and information governance training programs for all employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business teams regarding privacy and data handling inquiries.
  • Execute legal holds, ensure data preservation, and conduct defensible data collections while upholding chain of custody standards.
  • Support subpoenas and investigations by preparing data exports for review and ensuring adherence to privacy and compliance regulations.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of experience in privacy operations, compliance, or information governance.
  • Solid understanding of data subject rights and operational privacy requirements.
  • Experience with records management, retention schedules, and data lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to coordinate effectively across IT, Legal, Security, and business departments.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools and cloud data sources (e.g., email, Slack, shared drives).
  • Familiarity with retention, classification, and privacy considerations during data collection processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IAPP CIPM, CIPP, or IG professional certifications (e.g. IGP).
  • Interest in or prior experience with the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
  • Exposure to eDiscovery platforms or tools (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Logikcull).
