The Opportunity: Software Quality Assurance Analyst

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Corporate – Development Team. This role can be based at our Norwell, MA office or performed remotely. Our corporate support teams provide vital specialized services to our technical business lines and market teams, including financial, legal, marketing, business development, human resources, information technology, and operational services. These teams also support clients when their skills and expertise are required.

What You'll Do

As a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for software testing across all the company's software products. Your role involves supporting customers and collaborating closely with internal groups to identify and resolve system issues and defects. You will apply your knowledge of various quality assurance testing practices to outline and execute comprehensive testing plans. This position requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, other quality assurance analysts, technical support managers, and project managers to continuously improve CHA's software products.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred.
• Strong understanding of the software development and testing process.
• Experience writing and using automated test scripts and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – strong ability to document test cases as well as the results of those test cases.
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and efficiently switch between tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in the utility, energy, or pipeline industry is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with databases (SQL Server and Oracle) and the Microsoft stack of software development tools preferred.
