About the Role

At CGI, we are seeking an experienced and driven Data Analyst - Financial Services with strong data engineering and data platform capabilities. In this hybrid role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, focusing on data-centric initiatives in the financial services domain.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with system owners, business users, and data engineering teams.
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions for data-centric projects.
  • Analyze systems and data processes for enhancements.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Support data modeling, quality, and governance efforts.
  • Create process models, data flow diagrams, use cases, and user stories.
  • Validate requirements, support UAT, and coordinate with QA teams.
  • Design and deliver ETL workflows and data integration logic.
  • Work with Azure Databricks to optimize data pipelines using Medallion architecture.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture and compliance.
  • Collaborate with both in-person and virtual teams in a hybrid environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Data Analyst.
  • Strong SQL programming and relational database skills.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
  • Experience with data warehousing and enterprise data projects.
  • Understanding of data modeling, governance, and quality frameworks.
  • Practical experience with Azure data services including Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Understanding of Medallion data architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Project Management tools.
  • Background in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance industries.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
