Position Overview

The CMS Content Specialist coordinates with the Section Head/Technical Team Lead for task assignments, support, and other media development-related instructions and content management. This role provides user support, suggests system and process improvements, and occasionally takes the initiative in ensuring project phase movement.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities

As a CMS Content Specialist at CGI, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing digital content across various platforms, ensuring seamless delivery and user satisfaction. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service acumen, and a proactive approach to project management.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Abilities
  • Knowledgeable in different CMS platforms including (but not limited to) Coremedia, Strapi, Drupal, or WordPress to adopt digital strategies/approach for business, products, and marketing.
  • Evaluates requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, time required, compatibility, and dependency with current system(s).
  • Consults with Technical/Team Leader to clarify project/initiative objectives.
  • Formulates plans outlining steps required for content loading, using structured analysis and process, and submits plans to Section Head/Technical Team Lead for approval.
  • Performs unit testing on different Content Management Systems.
  • Writes documentation related to projects/initiatives.
  • Recreates or simulates steps taken by the user to locate the source of a problem and rewrites the program to correct errors.
  • Provides resolutions on concerns related to the project.
  • Assists in knowledge transfer during project turn-over.
Customer Service
  • Manages customer relationships and maintains high-quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assists in knowledge transfer during project turn-over.
Administrative
  • Maintains and updates daily monitoring of service deliverables.
  • Prepares and submits needed reports.
  • Follows guidelines on file naming, handling, storage, and archiving.
Teamwork
  • Ensures continuity of providing service by flexibly adjusting to help other team members.
Learning and Development
  • Expands knowledge on business processes and IT-related information.
  • Stays abreast of current technology, systems information, problems, changes, and updates relevant to the team.
Confidentiality
  • Shall not disclose any confidential information in respect to the affairs of the Company to any unauthorized person.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • A Bachelor's or College degree in Multimedia Arts, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
  • Has at least two (2) years of experience in content loading.
  • Experience with Coremedia and Strapi is a big plus.
  • Knowledge in using Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects).
  • Ability to analyze user requirements and specifications and translate them into an approach to handle the loading of contents such as translations, image, and video loading.
  • Ability to handle support in the context of current user specifications.
  • Ability to prepare detailed written instructions and documentation.
  • Knows how to communicate with difficult/problematic users.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong quality checking skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and able to set priorities.
  • Has customer service orientation.

Work Hours and Working Conditions

To provide and deliver solutions within the defined timeline across regions, you may need to go on different shifts or extended working hours. Some days may be heavy while others may be light. Longer hours may be required when a need arises.
