About the Equity Research Analyst Role at CFRA Research
CFRA's global fundamental equity research team delivers independent, actionable research trusted by institutional investors, wealth advisors, and regulators worldwide. We are expanding this team and actively seeking an Equity Research Analyst who possesses intellectual curiosity, robust analytical capabilities, and a deep passion for financial markets.
Our team is structured by sector and engages in close collaboration with CFRA's forensic accounting, policy/legal, and technical research groups to provide comprehensive and differentiated insights. As an analyst, you will have access to a suite of proprietary tools, including fundamental dashboards, standardized DCF models, forensic accounting diagnostic reports, and technical signals.
In this position, you will be responsible for conducting and publishing fundamental equity research for a global client base that includes institutional investors, wealth advisors, insurance companies, regulators, and professional service firms. Your work will encompass qualitative and quantitative analysis across various dimensions such as valuation, financial performance, competitive positioning, quality of earnings, and free cash flow. This analysis will culminate in stock rating recommendations, sector and industry outlooks, and in-depth thematic research.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the equity research team to produce and publish analysis on companies and industries.
- Provide Buy/Sell/Hold recommendations on a defined coverage universe.
- Publish stock reports, research notes, and in-depth actionable thematic and industry research.
- Build and maintain DCF models and comparable company analyses to determine whether a company's stock is overvalued or undervalued.
- Present findings through internal and external webinars and live events.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2+ years in equity research or a comparable financial role, ideally with exposure to the Information Technology sector.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; CFA candidacy or MBA is a significant plus.
- Strong equity valuation analysis and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for publishing research and presenting findings.
- High intellectual curiosity, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
