Role Overview

The Logistics Handling Operations Operator is responsible for routing outbound ocean freight shipments and managing key logistics documentation and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct flow of air and ocean traffic.
  • Open shipment files using dedicated software systems.
  • Ship freight, prepare documentation, and prepare quotations.
  • Negotiate with domestic and foreign customers to resolve shipment problems.
  • Examine invoices and shipping documents to ensure regulatory conformity.
  • Prepare transaction reports to facilitate billing.
  • Handle currency conversions and report issues to supervisors.

Desired Qualifications

An associate degree or relevant experience is required; six months to one year experience or equivalent combination qualifies.
