Financial Institutions Management Consultant - West Coast
Cetera Financial Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Institutions Management Consultant (FIMC) to join our West Coast Regional Growth Team. This role is crucial in developing and supporting Financial Institutions (FIs) poised for growth, working collaboratively with internal teams and key Cetera resources to deliver strategic value, business consulting, and wealth management expertise.
What You Will Do
- Manage strategic business planning and relationships with Financial Institution executive management, program management, financial advisors, and support staff.
- Serve as a strategic relationship manager, providing proactive business consulting to grow FI programs and increase wallet share.
- Act as an accountability growth partner, designing tailored annual growth business plans aligned with FI strategic objectives and wealth management program goals.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews to track progress against objectives and identify necessary modifications.
- Identify value-add opportunities for FIs, leveraging Cetera's high-value programs to address their needs and retain current partners through renewals and renegotiations.
- Collaborate with internal Cetera resources (Channel, Finance, Legal, Ops, etc.) to showcase strategic value to FIs.
- Assist the Senior Manager, Regional Growth Team with overall partnership renewals within the region.
- Work with FI Executives, Program Managers, and colleagues on client segmentation, service models, support staffing, marketing strategies, program efficiency, and tech adoption.
- Identify FI Advisors ready for growth and engage them in strategic growth relationships.
- Grow the advisor team within FIs by enhancing knowledge and skills in marketing, people management, financial management, and wealth management offerings.
- Improve FI skillset and effectiveness in recruiting and employment administration of Financial Advisors.
- Collaborate with FI marketing teams to promote wealth management offerings, enhance client engagement, and increase client penetration and wallet share.
What You Will Need To Have
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience with a Regional Bank, Community Bank, or Credit Union.
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Services, specifically in a Relationship Management or Consulting Role.
- FINRA Series 7, Series 66 and/or Series 63/65 and Life Insurance License.
