Job Description: Part-Time Electrical Safety Instructor
TPC Training, a Certus Company and a leader in practical skills training for field technicians and maintenance workers, is seeking a Part-Time Electrical Safety Instructor. This role requires a strong Electrical Safety background with extensive field experience in commercial and production environments. Instructors will travel, utilize MS Office products (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel), and experience with virtual training platforms like Zoom is a plus.
The successful Part-Time Electrical Safety Instructor will effectively instruct 2-25 students in both classroom and virtual settings, incorporating hands-on activities and lectures. Extensive knowledge in the following Electrical Safety Topics is essential:
- Electrical Safety & the Qualified Electrical Worker
- Electrical Hazards
- Safety Related Work Practices
- Safety Related Maintenance Requirements
- Requirements for Special Safety Equipment
- Electrical Safety Program

Candidate Requirements:
- Field experience with NFPA 70E, 70B, and a working knowledge of the NEC.
- Prior Safety Training instructor experience is preferred.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- A customer service mindset with a passion for sharing knowledge and experience.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to manage training support equipment up to 90 pounds.
- An associate’s degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline.
While Certus headquarters are in Orlando, FL, instructors operate remotely and travel to assignments from their nearest major airport. This part-time position offers instructor pay of $475 - $600 per teaching day, company-paid travel expenses, and a 401k with a company match for part-time employees.
