Information Technology Specialist I
We are excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Information Technology Specialist I to join our dynamic technology team at Century Business Products Inc. This position can be located in either Sioux Falls or Sioux City.
Job Purpose
The IT Specialist I is a member of our IT Service Desk in the Sioux Falls office, responsible for providing remote and on-site support for clients' computers, servers, and network infrastructure. They will support and assist clients’ users and various IT systems, ensuring high customer service through verbal, written, and in-person interactions. Timely response to inbound client service requests is essential.
Compensation, Benefits & Perks
- Base Pay: $40,000 - $50,000/year
- Monday-Friday, 8a-5p schedule with occasional on-call

Job Tasks
- Log and process service requests via telephone and ticketing system.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with client devices and networks.
- Install and configure hardware components and software applications.
- Perform routine hardware and software maintenance on client systems.
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience with professional communication.
- Document services and time spent accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and procedures.
Desired Traits
- 1+ year of end-user support experience in a technology field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, & Microsoft 365.
- Familiar with networking protocols and technologies such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Experience with ticket management and remote monitoring tools.
- Strong collaboration, communication skills and self-motivated.
Training
Orientation is provided upon hire with ongoing professional training through in-house sessions, webinars, and external tech conferences. Self-directed training is also encouraged.
Requirements
- Pre-Employment Background Check
- Active Driver0 License with auto insurance or ability to obtain coverage
- Knowledge in computer technical support, Microsoft workstation environments, and server environments (Active Directory, Terminal Services)
- Experience with Cloud (Office 365), Email systems, Networking, Anti-virus, and Virtual Machine environments (VMWare)
