Role Description

This full-time, on-site Event Manager role is based in State College, PA in conjunction with Penn State University. The Event Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the Centre Film Festival, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for attendees. Key responsibilities include managing event logistics, coordinating with vendors and partners, organizing schedules, supervising event staff, and overseeing budgets. This role will also involve collaborating with filmmakers, artists, and the community to deliver a successful festival experience.

Qualifications

  • Event planning and coordination skills, including knowledge of logistics and event scheduling
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to liaise with vendors, partners, and community members
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial oversight
  • Leadership skills with experience managing event teams and staff
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in arts or film-related events is a plus
