A healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join its team. This role requires previous experience in Human Resources within a Nursing Home environment.Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate staffing schedules for the nursing department.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the facility and payroll team, ensuring timecards and payroll matters are handled correctly.
- Act as liaison for employee benefits coordination with relevant administrators.
- Oversee front desk operations and staff.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Labor and Department of Health requirements for all new hires, including onboarding processes such as background checks, reference verification, and timekeeping setup.
- Manage recruitment efforts, including identifying staffing needs, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Attend management meetings as needed.
- Support overall team objectives by assisting with additional tasks when required.
- Handle core HR functions such as disciplinary actions, payroll status updates, terminations, resignations, and retirements in coordination with department leaders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in human resources or staffing required.
- Degree or formal training in HR is strongly preferred.
