Job Role and Responsibilities

As a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services for hospital inpatients. Responsibilities include:

• Interpreting orders and transcribing into the pharmacy system.
• Compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals accurately.
• Monitoring drug therapy for contraindications and interactions.
• Recommending cost-effective medication alternatives.
• Maintaining hospital formulary and promoting rational therapy.
• Assisting with clinical services like drug consults, pharmacokinetics, and pain management.
• Completing reports on medication errors and adverse reactions.
• Overseeing staff schedules.

Qualifications

Requirements include a B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school, active pharmacist license, state-specific Medication Therapy Management Certification, and hospital pharmacy experience. PGY1 residency or fellowship and specialty BCPS certification are highly preferred.
