Overview

CCMSI is seeking an experienced Florida Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster. This role can be remote or hybrid depending on your location relative to the Maitland, FL office. The position offers a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET with a competitive base salary and additional benefits.

About The Role

In the role of Florida Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster, you will manage litigated workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution for a dedicated client account. Key responsibilities include investigating claims, managing reserves, coordinating medical and legal estimates, and negotiating settlements according to Florida laws. A Florida adjuster's license and 5-10 years of experience in workers’ compensation claim handling are required. Experience with behavioral health, hospital, or nursing home claims is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers’ compensation claims
  • Manage litigated claims and coordinate with legal professionals
  • Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves
  • Oversee medical, legal, and damage estimates
  • Negotiate settlements per client instructions and state laws
  • Coordinate subrogation claims and excess carrier notifications

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of workers’ compensation claim handling experience
  • Experience in managing litigated claims in Florida
  • Florida Adjuster’s License (required)
  • AIC, ARM or CPCU designation preferred
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
