Job Description

Procurement Manager at CBRE

As a Procurement Manager at CBRE, you will lead a team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service providers for outsourced services. This role partners closely with clients or internal departments to develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.

This position is part of the Procurement function, which oversees the acquisition of goods, services, and raw materials from vendors and suppliers. The role is fully remote within the United States, operating Monday through Friday, and supports a global leader in enterprise information management services.

What You'll Do

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, monitoring their training and development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching; oversee recruiting and hiring.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Work with business stakeholders and operational teams to develop and execute strategy at local and regional levels.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines, providing mentorship and coaching as needed.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other business documents for goods and services.
  • Review contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals, informing management of changes.
  • Manage supplier and contractor certification processes and conduct periodic visits for performance reviews.
  • Mentor and educate on contemporary outsourcing practices and their value.
  • Analyze account-wide facility management services spend, suppliers, and statements of work to identify value creation opportunities.
  • Assist with creating RTFs, selecting solutions, and negotiating.
  • Prepare and maintain national and regional service provider contracts, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements and deal with sensitive issues.
  • Apply knowledge of procurement discipline and its integration with other functions to achieve team objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated information and convey performance expectations.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and financial figures.
