Position Overview

The Senior Designer English Services role at CBC/Radio-Canada involves creating distinctive visual elements through both still and animated mediums. You will be part of a hybrid work setting, combining in-office and remote work, contributing directly to content that informs, entertains, and connects Canadians.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Generate ideas to illustrate content and boost visual interest.
  • Create original material using strong storytelling and design editing skills.
  • Modify and adapt concepts with creative improvisation.
  • Design logos, typographic layouts, signage, print, and digital assets.
  • Participate in photography shoots and contribute to creative pitches.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure continuity of deliverables.
  • Experiment with new design approaches and creative methods.
  • Assist in training and development of other team members when required.

Qualifications

A university degree or college diploma in Graphic Design, Animation or related field is required along with a minimum of three years of directly related experience. Candidates may be subject to skills testing and background checks, including a mandatory criminal record check.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. The primary location is at the Broadcast Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
